PARQS™ Compass Privacy Policy

PARQS™ Compass is owned by Elaina Kelly Smith, LLC.

This Privacy Policy explains how PARQS™ Compass handles information.

Simple Summary

PARQS™ Compass is a guided reflection and journaling app. No PARQS account is required.

Journal entries are saved on your device. You can save a journal backup file or print pages from your journal.

Purchases and paid access are managed through your app store and RevenueCat. Purchase information is processed separately from your journal writing.

PARQS Compass also uses AppsFlyer for attribution, limited app-use and performance analytics, and fraud prevention. AppsFlyer does not receive the text of your journal entries, Of Course statements, or other written reflections.

Backups, printed pages, purchases, and other app data are explained below.

Journal Entries and Purchase Information

You can write and save entries in the PARQS Journal and Of Course Journal. Those entries are stored on your device. We do not operate a server that stores your journal entries.

You do not need to create a PARQS account or provide your name or email address to use the journaling features.

PARQS™ Compass also stores limited app information on your device that is needed for the app to function, such as free-use counters, onboarding status, and paid-access status.

The app store and RevenueCat process purchase records and information used to identify purchases and manage paid access. This information is separate from the text you write in your journals.

Purchase services do not receive the text of your journal entries from PARQS™ Compass.

The practices inside the app are for personal reflection only. Any reflection you create outside the app, such as in your own notebook, notes app, or voice memo app, stays outside PARQS™ Compass.

If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to include in your message.

Analytics and Attribution

PARQS Compass uses AppsFlyer for app attribution, app-launch and interaction measurement, app-performance analytics, and fraud prevention.

AppsFlyer may process technical information such as an AppsFlyer identifier, device or advertising identifiers, IP address and approximate location derived from that address, app launches or interactions, diagnostics, and other app-performance information.

PARQS™ Compass does not sell personal information.

PARQS Compass does not send the text of your PARQS Journal entries, Of Course statements, or other written reflections to AppsFlyer.

External Website Links

The app includes links to external books and resources, such as the PARQS First Steps Kit, on the Elaina Kelly Smith website.

If you tap one of those links, you will leave the app and open a webpage outside PARQS™ Compass.

If you choose to enter information on that webpage, such as your email address to receive a resource, that information is handled by the website and its service providers, not by PARQS™ Compass inside the app.

Payments

Purchases are processed through Google Play Billing on Android or Apple’s in-app purchase system on iOS, where the app is available.

We use RevenueCat to verify purchases, manage paid access, and provide purchase reporting. RevenueCat processes purchase history and an app user identifier for these purposes.

You do not enter payment-card information into PARQS™ Compass.

Restoring a purchase restores qualifying paid access. It does not restore journal entries. Journal entries are restored separately from a journal backup.

Data Sharing

We use the applicable app store and RevenueCat to process purchases and manage paid access. These services receive information needed for their respective functions.

When you save a journal backup or print your journal, the resulting file or printed pages contain journal content. Any storage service, printing service, or other destination you choose may handle that content under its own terms and privacy policy.

Information you submit through an external website or by email is handled separately from journal entries stored in the app.

Data Retention and Deletion

Journal entries remain in the app’s local storage until you delete them or that storage is otherwise removed.

You can delete individual entries from Journal History or use the journal-deletion control in Settings & Privacy. Read the confirmation before proceeding.

Deleting journal entries inside the app does not delete previously saved backup files or affect printed journal pages. Manage or dispose of those copies separately.

Your device’s backup or transfer services may also retain app data, depending on your device settings and the app’s backup configuration.

Purchase records are separate from journal entries. To ask about purchase-related personal information handled through our services, contact connect@elainakellysmith.com. We may need information to locate and verify the relevant purchase record. Some transaction records may need to be retained for legal or accounting purposes.

If you contact us by email, we retain the correspondence as needed to respond and manage your request.

Children's Privacy

PARQS™ Compass is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 18+.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Personal Reflection and Wellness Note

PARQS™ Compass is for personal reflection and everyday self-support.

It is not medical or mental health treatment. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition.

If a practice does not feel right for you, you can skip or adapt it.

Security

Protect your device and keep backup files and printed journal pages somewhere you trust.

Backup files created by PARQS™ Compass are not password-protected by the app. Anyone who can access those files may be able to read their contents.

If you contact us by email or use an external website linked from the app, that information will be handled through the systems used for those services.

Avoid sending private journal entries when asking for technical support. Whenever possible, use a test entry, screenshot, or description of the problem instead.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

If we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
