Inspirational Author and Speaker
“This is not a book of magic cures or spiritual bypasses. It is a practical toolkit to reconnect with the decision-making tools you already possess.
I can give you the map, but you are the navigator.”

About Elaina Kelly Smith
Elaina Kelly Smith’s life has been less of a gentle journey and more of an emotionally action-packed odyssey. Her path wasn’t always sunlit; often, it was simply about putting one foot in front of the other, weighed down by a sense of disconnection she couldn’t name.
Coming from a highly restrictive upbringing, Elaina never imagined a life of global travel. Yet, an unexpected friendship opened the world to her, and she began a series of adventures that would take her to all seven continents. It was during her courageous solo travels that she built the foundation of her self-reliance. Navigating foreign places, cultures, and situations on her own taught her something she’d never had before: trust in her ability to figure things out as she went.
Watch Elaina explain the origin of the PARQS framework (2 mins).
These travels became her laboratory for personal growth. Despite building successful businesses, she found that external achievements couldn’t solve the internal feeling of being on autopilot. Her journey of self-discovery, which included years of spiritual searching and deep therapeutic work, was a persistent, step-by-step process of chipping away at the mistaken beliefs that were holding her back.
This persistent exploration, both external and internal, led her to develop the PARQS framework, the practical, down-to-earth compass for building self-trust that is at the heart of this book. It was through this work that she found her way out of remote control living into a more intentional and present existence. Her pivotal realization, prompted by her therapist’s simple question, “What does Elaina want?”, empowered her to create the very system she now shares with her readers.
For Elaina, the ultimate expression of this work is in service to others. Her philanthropic efforts are a natural extension of the PARQS principles-using Awareness to see a need and taking Right Action to meet it. Whether traversing mountainous roads to reach fourteen isolated centers for visually impaired children across Vietnam, working with at-risk youth in the Philippines, or spearheading the installation of twenty-five water pumps and personally delivering food and school supplies to rural families in Cambodia, her focus is on direct, practical impact. She believes that the journey of returning to oneself is what gives us the capacity to show up for ourselves and the world with clarity and purpose.
